Samsung Launches Its First Ever ‘Odyssey’ Gaming Notebook - CES 2017



Samsung's Notebook Odyssey (15.6-inch) comes with the same screen resolution and processor. It can be configured with up to 32GB RAM, along with 256GB of SSD and 1TB of HDD. The laptop includes an Nvidia GTX1050 GPU with 2GB/4GB of dedicated RAM.


The Samsung Notebook Odyssey (17.3-inch) comes with a Full HD wide-view Angle anti-glare display and is powered by Intel's newest 'Kaby Lake' Core i7 processor. It can be configured with up to 64GB of RAM and up to 512GB of SSD and 1TB of HDD storage. The company however, has not revealed the GPU powering the device.

. For customization, the notebook features RGB LED colour lighting for individual keys. Backed by a 93Wh battery, the Notebook Odyssey (17.3-inch) comes only in Black colour, weighs 3.79 grams and sports USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 3), USB 3.0, HDMI, LAN and other regular connectivity ports.

. . The device is backed by a 43Wh battery, is available in Black and White colour options and weighs 2.53kgs. However, it misses out on USB Type-C connectivity.
. . Both laptops feature HexaFlow Vent cooling and ventilation systems.

. . "Created for maximum performance and endless play, users can also open the HexaFlow Vent, which is located on the bottom panel of the device, to upgrade the storage and memory," says Samsung.

. . Talking about laptops, Samsung also launched its Chromebook Pro and Chromebook Plus at CES 2017. The new Chromebooks from Samsung offer 360-degree rotating touchscreen, built-in digitized pen and a lightweight metal design. Both Chromebooks feature a 12.3-inch LED display with 2400x1600 pixel resolution. The devices offer 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
. . The company has not revealed the price of the devices, but they will go on sale in February this year
